Today began the process of issuing the new permanent driver's license in Mexico City. Hundreds of people arrived early at the macro module located in the Sala de Armas in Magdalena Mixiuhca, in the Iztacalco borough, to obtain this new document that will allow them to have a valid license indefinitely, without the need to renew it or pay again for their entire life.
The goal of this new permanent license is to provide drivers in Mexico City the possibility of having a document that is valid permanently. The City Government reported that in addition to the macro module in Iztacalco, more points will be opened throughout the capital that will be operational every day of the week, including the PILARES and the UTOPÍAS.
The issuance of this license will be available until December 2025 and will cost 1,500 pesos. To schedule an appointment, interested parties must visit the mentioned website. The Head of Government, Clara Brugada, also completed her procedure today to obtain the new Permanent License.
